The IMA is excited to host its Fourth Annual DC Fly-In, a series of meetings with Illinois’ US Senators, Members of Congress, the National Association of Manufacturers, and administration representatives to discuss federal policies that directly and indirectly impact our local and state economies. In 2019, we inaugurated this annual event with in-person meetings in Washington, DC and conducted virtual Fly-Ins in 2020 and 2021 due to pandemic restrictions.
Topics for discussion will include workforce, tax reform, regulatory relief, energy, health care, infrastructure investment, trade, and immigration.
Sessions will begin at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, September 14 and continue throughout the day, resuming at 8:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 15, and finishing by 12:00 P.M. Our schedule and agenda will be very full, and we’ll share schedule details and updates with registrants as the event nears and participants are confirmed.
In previous years, our delegation’s meetings included House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy, US Senators Dick Durbin and Tammy Duckworth, US Representatives Rodney Davis, Cheri Bustos, Mike Bost, and Darin LaHood, the National Association of Manufacturers, and White House trade officials.
