Illinois Manufacturers’ Association Welcomes New Board Chair

Greg Webb is vice president of state government relations for Archer Daniels Midland Company

SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Manufacturers’ Association (IMA) is proud to welcome Greg Webb as Chair of the IMA Board of Directors, bringing decades of industry insight and expertise to help advocate on behalf of manufacturers throughout the state.

Webb currently serves as vice president, State Government Relations, for Archer Daniels Midland Company, a Chicago-based food processing and commodities trading corporation that also has significant operations in Decatur and across Illinois. Webb joined ADM in 1986, working in the North American oilseeds processing business. He was named the company’s North American trade representative for Grain and Oilseeds in July 2002, before taking on his current role in October 2007.

Webb holds a bachelor’s degree in agriculture economics from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. He also serves on the board of the Public Affairs Council, an international nonpartisan organization dedicated to advancing the field of public affairs and was the 2020 recipient of the Friend of ACES award from the University of Illinois College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences (ACES).

“The Illinois Manufacturers’ Association has a long history of working to advance the manufacturing industry, create jobs and strengthen our economy, and I’m honored to take on this role and add to those efforts,” said Webb. “While the pandemic presented new challenges for manufacturers, it also highlighted how important our work is every day and I look forward to helping the IMA build on those strengths.”

Those holding other officer roles for the IMA Board of Directors include Renee Velasquez Togher, who will serve as Vice Chair, and Kara Demirjian Huss, who will serve as Treasurer.

Togher is president of Azteca Foods, Inc., a family owned business and leading manufacturer of tortilla products headquartered in Chicago. Togher received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and has been recognized by Today’s Chicago Woman magazine as “100 Women Making a Difference” and is an active volunteer in school, church and youth activities.

Demirjian Huss is vice president and global marketing director for T/CCI Manufacturing LLC, a global compressor supplier based in Decatur serving the trucking, off highway, agriculture, construction, specialty vehicle and transport refrigeration markets. Demirjian Huss earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and serves in leadership roles for several community and civic organizations including the Decatur Parks Foundation and the Economic Development Corporation of Decatur and Macon County.

Webb replaces Linda McGill Boasmond, president of Cedar Concepts Corporation, who served as the IMA Chairwoman for the past two years. Boasmond was the first Black chair of the IMA and focused her efforts on engaging girls in science programs while leading the Association through the pandemic.

“The IMA is lucky to have the guidance of these dedicated industry leaders as we continue our mission to ensure manufacturers across Illinois have what they need to grow and thrive, which is more important than ever as we recover from the disruption caused by the pandemic,” said Mark Denzler, president & CEO of the IMA. “We appreciate these leaders’ willingness to dedicate their time and we are ready to get to work alongside them.”About the Illinois Manufacturers’ Association (IMA)
The Illinois Manufacturers’ Association is the only statewide association dedicated exclusively to advocating, promoting and strengthening the manufacturing sector in Illinois.
