Illinois Manufacturers’ Association Welcomes New Board Members
SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Manufacturers’ Association (IMA) has named two new members to the IMA Board of Directors, building on a strong record of leadership on behalf of manufacturers across the state.
“We are grateful to these dedicated leaders for donating their time and skills to help the Illinois Manufacturers’ Association advocate for the interests of our members across the state,” said Mark Denzler, president & CEO of the IMA. “Manufacturers across Illinois will undoubtedly benefit from their innovation and creativity, and we look forward to continued success.”
The two new board members for the Illinois Manufacturers’ Association are:
Kara Demirjian Huss (T/CCI Manufacturing, Decatur): Demirjian Huss is the Vice President and Global Marketing Manager of T/CCI Manufacturing. Based in Decatur, T/CCI is a global leader in compressor technology often used for trucking, off-highway, agriculture and construction, specialty vehicle, and transport refrigeration. In her role, Demirjian Huss positions T/CCI’s brand globally, implements strategic communication and marketing initiatives, and furthers T/CCI’s growth in the manufacturing industry. As founder and president of DCC Marketing, also based in Decatur, Demirjian Huss’ firm guides private and public organizations in branding and positioning efforts and public relations and communications strategies. Demirjian Huss earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and serves in leadership roles for several community and civic organizations including the Decatur Parks Foundation and the Economic Development Corporation of Decatur and Macon County.
Sean McCarthy (Comcast, Schaumburg): McCarthy is Regional Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Initiatives at Comcast, based in Schaumburg. In his role, McCarthy leads strategic business initiatives, oversees the deployment of advanced networks in commercial and residential corridors, and works with customers and public and private partners to innovate and incorporate connectivity and advanced technologies into real estate developments and other projects. McCarthy previously served as Director of the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, where he provided leadership and strategic guidance to the department’s efforts to grow the state’s economy by encouraging businesses to invest and create jobs across the state – positioning Illinois as a global business destination. McCarthy earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science at Stonehill College in Easton, Massachusetts and his Master of Business Administration degree in General Management at Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois.
