Illinois Manufacturers’ Association Responds to Governor’s ‘Stay at Home’ Order

SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Manufacturers’ Association (IMA) released the following statement regarding Gov. JB Pritzker’s Executive Order for residents to stay at home in order to limit the spread of COVID-19:

“America is facing extraordinary times that rival some of the greatest challenges in our nation’s history. Manufacturers have answered our nation’s call every single time, conquering obstacles and leading the way forward. Today is no different. Illinois manufacturers are producing life-saving medicine and health care products, feeding our residents, making equipment and vehicles for our first responders, powering our homes, and helping protect our families and communities,” said Mark Denzler, president & CEO of the Illinois Manufacturers’ Association. “The Governor’s declaration was not an easy decision to make, but it is one that we support in order to ensure the health and safety of our citizens. We appreciate the Governor’s recognition that manufacturing is essential to solving the tremendous challenges that we face.”
