The Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity is pleased to share with you the draft of the Illinois Energy Roadmap, a preliminary version of the final product of the Illinois Energy Roadmap Project. The project is a partnership between U.S. Department of Energy, Department of Commerce, Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, Illinois Pollution Control Board, Illinois Power Agency, and Illinois Commerce Commission to examine how the state can maximize the economic and job creating benefits that can be gained from energy efficiency and renewable energy, as well as meet potential environmental requirements and maintain regional grid stability. We encourage readers to review and submit any comments to CEO.EnergyRecycling@illinois.gov by Wednesday, June 21, 2017. We will then review and revise and intend to publish a final Roadmap by the end of the month.
