The State of Illinois, in partnership with Intersect Illinois and the Illinois Economic Development Association is introducing a new statewide business outreach and retention initiative called, CORE: Creating Opportunities for Retention and Expansion.
Learn more about a new innovative, statewide initiative for Illinois’ economic development professionals.
This broad-based retention and expansion initiative is led by a collaborative group, comprised of the Ameren, ComEd, Illinois Economic Development Association, Intersect Illinois, Nicor Gas, the State of Illinois Department of Commerce, and a diverse base of economic development professionals from throughout the state.
The first step is to conduct in-depth program overview sessions designed to explain this statewide alliance, introduce communities to specific steps of participation and to coordinate specific measures aimed at meeting the growth and development needs of your local & regional employers. The overview will be conducted by the CORE ad hoc management committee (Ameren, Blane Canada Ltd, ComEd, and economic development leaders from throughout Illinois, including local, regional and statewide representatives).
Three dates and locations are available for the initial rollout of this partnership:
September 15th, 9-1pm – Nicor Gas, 90 N. Finley Rd., Glen Ellyn, IL
September 20th, 1-4pm – Historic Presevation Building, 313 S. 6th St., Springfield, IL
September 21st, 9-1pm – IDOT Office, 1016 Eastport Plaza Dr., Collinsville, IL
