Congressman Darin LaHood, 18th District of Illinois

Congressman Darin LaHood, born and raised in Peoria, serves the 710,000 constituents of the 18th District of Illinois. He was sworn into the U.S. House of Representatives on Sept. 17, 2015. Prior to his election to Congress, LaHood served four years in the Illinois State Senate, beginning in 2011.

Senator Chuck Weaver, 37th District of Illinois

A Peoria native, Chuck Weaver grew up on his family farm and spent his youth actively involved in the family’s Angus cattle operation. Chuck is a graduate of Dunlap High School and Bradley University. He obtained his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law. Most recently, Chuck was an at large member of the Peoria City Council, following his 2011 election.

Nicolas Clerc, Chief Economist, Caterpillar

Nicolas and his team are responsible for preparing and communicating macroeconomic and industry forecasts covering all Caterpillar segments (construction industries, resource industries, and energy and transportation). He has been an economist at Caterpillar for over 12 years, based in Europe and North America.  Prior to joining Caterpillar, he co-founded a financial services company in Switzerland.

Mark Denzler, Vice President and COO, Illinois Manufacturers’ Association

From 2003–2006, Mark oversaw government affairs in Illinois for State Farm Insurance, a Fortune 50 company headquartered in Bloomington. He focused on a number of issues including insurance, education, taxes and fees, and auto safety legislation. Prior to joining State Farm, Mark worked at the IMA as director of government affairs from 1999–2003 where he concentrated on tax, environmental and educational issues.

Drew Faries, Director, Management Consulting , RSM US LLP

Drew is RSM’s central Illinois consulting leader. His project experience extends from strategy definition to lead delivery roles on multi-year business transformations. He has advised clients in a management consulting capacity for over 17 years. Drew’s industry experience extends across manufacturing and distribution, financial services and state & local government.

Jay Schulman, Principal, Security and Privacy Services, RSM US LLP

Jay leads the Great Lakes security and privacy consulting practice. With over 20 years of experience in the information security field, he has led, managed and executed in a variety of security projects, including application security assessments, architecture reviews, security testing, regulatory compliance, security governance and risk management.

Scott Bjornstad, Senior Director, RSM US LLP

Scott leads the business development function for RSM in the Great Lakes region. He is responsible for building relationships with prospective and new clients and representing the firm in key manufacturing and distribution industry forums and associations.
