Jerry joined the IMA government affairs team in 2012. In addition to advocating for the needs of manufacturers with the Illinois General Assembly and Executive Officers, Jerry also leads the Manufacturers’ Environmental Group. MEG is a leading voice in representing the interests of manufacturers, including regulatory and sustainability issues, before the Illinois EPA and U.S. EPA. Jerry serves as an advisory board member for the Illinois Sustainable Technology Center, part of the Prairie Research Institute at the University of Illinois. He also represented manufacturers on the Illinois Task Force for the Advancement of Materials Recycling.
Prior to joining the IMA, Jerry worked as a contractural lobbyist in Illinois representing companies in the Energy, Insurance, Steel and Pharmaceutical industries. He also spent over a decade as a highly decorated television journalist. His work earned him dozens of prestigious awards including an EMMY Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Jerry served as an embedded war corespondent with the U.S. Army in Afghanistan in 2005.
